Microgrid Energy Moves to Downtown St. Louis

Microgrid Energy recently expanded into a new office space in downtown St. Louis, solidifying a commitment to its flagship office and headquarters. Located at 224 N 7thStreet, the office is just down the street from Busch Stadium and a short walk from the Gateway Arch.

The 107-year-old building features updated office spaces, conference room space on the mezzanine, a large break room with full kitchen, a rooftop patio and a ping pong table in the basement. “The new space better embodies our triple bottom line philosophy, providing our employees with an ideal space to work that encourages both productivity and fun,” said Chad Schubert, Director of Internal Operations at Microgrid. “We’re excited to relocate downtown and look forward to being a part of the continued revitalization of the area.”

One of the first actions taken when moving into the new space at the beginning of the year was a lighting upgrade, led by Microgrid’s Green Team.  “Every light in the building was incandescent,” says Steve O’Rourke, VP of Business Development. “We performed an energy audit and purchased LED replacement bulbs throughout the building. We’re looking forward to additional improvements that will make the space more energy efficient.”

The building is wholly-occupied by Microgrid, and offers room for future growth. Both Schubert and O’Rourke agree: “We’ve got a competitive team – especially in ping pong!”
