Pivot Energy Expands Leadership Team with High-Profile New Hires

As part of Pivot Energy’s aggressive growth plan, we recently hired top solar professionals including Tom Hunt, Melanie C. Kelly, Arun Ramadass, and Kacie Peters. These individuals will lead company strategy, spearhead new development, and break into new markets.

 

Tom Hunt, VP of Strategic Initiatives: Tom Hunt is the VP of Strategic Initiatives at Pivot Energy, where he leads the company’s efforts into new markets, technology development, and long-term growth. Prior to Pivot, he served as Senior VP of Corporate Development at Clean Energy Collective and Senior Policy Advisor at the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office. In these roles he has overseen construction and operations of solar projects, created multiple state markets for community solar, and initiated significant investment in electric vehicle charging stations. He has an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and has earned two graduate degrees in energy economics.

 

Melanie C. Kelly, Director of Marketing: Melanie has 12 years of marketing and sales experience with five years focused on renewable energy. Her expertise encompasses brand creation and awareness, company culture development, strategic event planning, and consumer marketing and communications. Her campaigns have subscribed over 8,000 residential community solar subscribers, equaling over 80 MW of ground-mounted, photovoltaic projects. She is passionate about educating consumers about energy, empowering them to make appropriate decisions for themselves and their communities. Melanie holds a Bachelor’s in Marketing.

 

Arun Ramadass, Director of Project Engineering and Analysis: Arun Ramadass has over 8 years of experience in engineering, construction and commissioning of solar facilities. Working for both a developer and EPC previously Arun was involved in over 300 MWdc of operational projects with an additional 1.0 GWdc of projects in construction or late stage development. Arun has a passion for renewable energy and thrives on complex challenges.

 

Kacie Peters, Director of Business Development: For nearly a decade, Kacie Peters has been leading renewable energy procurement in markets across the United States. She has led sales teams, created new product offerings, and pioneered innovative finance solutions for solar and storage projects. In Kacie’s tenure in the industry, she has empowered dozens of corporates, municipalities, and institutions to choose renewable energy, with over 15 MW of projects to date. From 2013-15, Kacie led Pivot’s Illinois market, setting the groundwork for the Illinois Future Jobs Act before leaving to join SunEdison. Now back at Pivot, Kacie is responsible for the business development of Pivot in three key areas: (1) SunCentral, Pivot’s innovative customer management software platform (2) project transactions for long term asset holders, and (3) continued origination efforts for key accounts.
